Mena Alexandra Suvari (born on the 13th of February, 1979) is an American model, actress and fashion designer. model. Her modeling career began in 1990 and soon moved to acting after appearances as a guest on TV shows like Boy Meets World or High Incident. In 1997 she made her acting debut as a film actor on Nowhere. After her performances of American Beauty (for which she received the BAFTA Award) and American Pie which brought her greater attention, she began her transition into major roles. She's appeared alongside American Pie's Co-Star Jason Biggs in Loser (2000) before starring as the role of lead on the screen in Sugar & Spice (2001). Spun, a 2002 independent drama film and Trauma, a (2004) thrillers were also part of her professional career. In 2004, she was a guest in the HBO drama Six Feet Under. She received nominations for the Screen Actors Guild Awards in for 2005, as part of the Outstanding Ensemble. She was also cast in Day of the Dead, The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and in the film adaptation of The Garden of Eden. Suvari was featured in numerous blog and fashion publications as well as Vogue. She is also a Lancome model and appears on print advertisements in Lancome Paris Adaptive. Suvari has been a defender and advocate for The African Medical and Research Foundation which is a well-known organisation that helps provide aid to Africans.
