Donald Joseph Qualls, better popularly known as DJ Qualls is an American actor, producer and fashion model. He shot to fame after his performance as a character in Road Trip. Since then the actor has been in more than 20 films, such like The New Guy Hustle & Flow or The Core. Alongside his role in Road Trip, he's played in 22 different TV series such as Breaking Bad Supernatural Srubs Lost Law & Order and many more. A survivor of Hodgkin's lymphoma, which he was diagnosed at age 14 Qualls is a fighter. His cancer was in remission after 2 years. Treatment at a young stage had a negative effect on his body. It hampered his development. As he got older, financial security seemed to be the ultimate goal since he had seen poverty throughout his life. I've lived so frugally for so long I have been able to enjoy that financial security or else the world seems uncontrollable for me when he spoke to an interviewer. He also reminisces about his childhood to motivate him. DJ states "Cruelty causes pain to my soul." He says that his ideal job would be that of dads in reality and in film. Director doesn't pick him to play those parts, but he says. In the future, he'd love to have a child so that he could devote more time in order to spend more time with the baby.
